VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIESAlthough we do not use volunteers to record books, volunteers are very important to our organization. We can use volunteers to help get books ready for mailing, check-in books, copy cassettes, and a variety of other clerical work. Volunteers can set their own schedule--some work a partial day one day a week, others work several hours several days a week. We can be very accommodating. The type of work varies with the time of day worked. The following are current volunteers at the Pekin office: Jennifer Campbell, Sandi Cliff, Marilyn Meiner, Lezlie Padgen, and Paul Pearson. We also appreciate the work done by the Telephone Pioneers of America in Peoria and Springfield who repair our damaged machines. Volunteers in Peoria include: George Ashworth, Betty Atchley, H. Brubaker, Mary Cox, C.L. Deford, Willis Jordan, Wanda Kersh, Dick Kuntz, Barb Mousty, O.K. Robinson, Bill Rowbotham, Sally Shearer, Betty Smith. Springfield volunteers include: Nancy Ashbaugh, Juanita Beck, Bill Davis, Dorothy Ford, Gilda Fortner, Dick Giesing, Lucille Gilles, Liz James, Patsy Lozosky, Mary McClintock, Sharon Reynolds, Kathy Stokes, Denny Tackett, Dave Thomas, Ralph Williams.
